Screw up of the month

March 30, 2009

Ok so remember how I got a new hard drive and I Was all excited? Well I had to download some stuff to make my comp run better (and I was also trying to get a movie). Anyway…

I managed to completely wipe everything out of my computer including eight videos of deleted scenes and some other stuff I hadnt backed up.

My computer was so bad that I never saw the blue screen of death (the one that says “windows has encountered an error..blah blah blah press any key”) no no I went straight to the black screen of hell that goes “Windows has been unable to start properly please select one of the folowing options”.  I got Dad to look at it and he was more confused than me so he took  it to another guy who managed to get my hard drive working again but its fucken useless. It doesnt know how to go onto the internet so I cant update anything and Im sure as hell not risking going on the internet with no antivirus protection which cant be updated until I get on to the internet.

All in all its a big fucken screw up.

I managed to kidnap dads computer but I’m soooo tired so I’ll try to get on here again tomorrow and reply to everyone so you dont think I’ve dissapeard again.

Love n hugs

Oh did you notice how my scheduled posts worked? Atleast thats a silver lining to all this.

The stuff dreams are made of

March 27, 2009

Recently I had a dream about a Budda. Not just any Budda  no no that would be too normal for me. No this Budda was in a trolly, was a statue but was talking via his mouth..

According to the dream moods dictionary this is what dreaming of a budda means:

To see Buddha in your dream, symbolizes wisdom, insight, compassion, and inner spirituality. You need to find calmness and peace within your own Self.

Interesting. I do hope to find calmness otherwise I am going to bash my computer. It keeps tying where I dont want it too. Score.

Why am I now blue? Someone please tell me why I’m looking like a Smurfette??

Love n hugs me

~*~ This is an autopost because I am either busy or have decided to bash the computer for making me blue and type where I’m not supposed to ~*~

  • The balls to post a picture of myself.  Um.. like dont send me any balls… I’ll find ’em
  • The ability to draw would be nice
  • A new Phone!! I’ve had my current phone for nearly two years!! The phone I want isnt out in New Zealand I dont think Its a white Nokia … everyone on home and away has it (its  probably the same phone)

What are you wishing for this wednesday??

Dangerous Obsessions

March 25, 2009

Losing weight is one thing but purging yourself beyond belief  is  not right and you must seek help.

The main thing  that annoies me about the media is how they portray skinny, being skinny and coping with parental issues.

In Gossip girl both the books and tvshow feature Blair having an eating disorder. While they do say its bad and she needs help I cant help but wonder if girls are seeing how  beautiful blair is and thinking that its ok to purge their food.

At times it can be like a dangerous dance teetering on between being healthy and being obessive.  Is having photos of gorgous (skinny) women obsessive or keeping yourself on track with a goal in mind?  Is finding out the dress size of famous celebrities obsessive or plain interest?  Is the fact that looking at old photos of onesself difficult to look at anything to worry about?

Who fucken knows.

I have lost my point.

Lifestyle change tips

March 25, 2009

Before I start I really want to stress that I am not a medical practitioner (I even had to spellcheck that!) these are just tips I have found that work for me. Before you partake in any exercise or “diet”  changes please consult your doctor or medical professional.

If you’ve woken up one day and decided enough is enough! You want to stop eating crap food and lead a healthy lifestyle then  please DONT DO THE FOLLOWING..

  • Call it a “diet”
  • Label foods as “bad” or “naughty”
  • Refer to foods as  “fat foods” or “skinny foods”

As soon as you label things it makes your brain react differently.  That food you labled as naughty? all day you’re going to want it and crave it. Eventually you’ll give in and eat a whole bag of chips or whatever.

  • Keep fruit or nuts and almonds handy at all times for snack
  • Get out and exercise even if its just walking to the shop for milk
  • At work instead of picking up the phone to call a co-worker or emailing them pop over and see them. Even if its only a short walk its still exercise.
  • Set a time to go to bed and get up in the morning. the schedule will stop you eating at weird times.
  • Find out approximately how many calories you should be consuming, adjust it for your needs but dont purposely underfeed yourself. That is not good for you.

  • Keep buscuits, chips or anything you would normally scoff. If this cant be helped like you live with flatmates or something ask them to hide it from you and not tell you they have them. I love hiding Tim Tams in the freezer because I never look there for them so when I do find them its a suprise!
  • Second guess yourself. If you have the mindset of fail then you will fail.
  • Visit pro – eating disorder types. I dont know how they can live with themselves. (I started going off topic here!! Sorry).
  • Watch what other people eat. It’ll make you jealous because they’re eating a big mac and you’re not or you’ll be grossed out because they’re eating a big mac.
  • Beat yourself up if you fall off the “wagon” and eat a pie, a donut and chocolate cake. Take appropriate action such as going for a short walk and then eat a proper dinner. The next day get up and eat a good breakfast. If you feel you are continuously  falling off the “wagon” then you may need to look at why you are doing this.
  • Weigh yourself.  For many reasons we can weigh more at differnt times whether it be water retention or that time of the month. Dont obsess over the scales it doesnt help anyone.
  • Hold on to fat clothes its like setting yourself up for fail.  YOU WANT TO SUCCEED.

I hope this helps. If you have any questions just ask I dont bite (unless your name is Robert)

No creative Title today

March 24, 2009

I was missing from the internet for the weekend because I FINALLY GOT MY NEW HARD DRIVE!! YAY

Although it was only gone over night I then had the awesome task of reloading everything and get all back to how it was.

I was so pissed off in the beginning because my computer now has my dads name all over it. When I sign in to windows, when I go looking for folders all  in the path it says my dads name. If that wasnt bad enough its also Spelt wrong. Oh and my  p key doesnt work unless I press and hold it for a few seconds. Cool.

I have finished putting most of my stuff back into my computer. The first thing I did was get my music back, Over three thousand songs!! Exciting isnt it??? Its all back! YAY

Since I have the day off today I am making some bookmarks to use while reading instead of folding the  pages over like I have done all these years (oops!!).

On Friday before work I had the bright idea to go for a two hour walk UP HILLS. Upon my return I discovered I have massive blisters on the arch bit of my foot. Since they were on the arch bit there was nothing I could do about it but strap on my big girl panties and deal with it.   Then if that wasnt bad enough all night  I had to keep going up and down stairs at work. YAY.

Oh I got photoshop back on my computer!! Exciting!! Except I cant remember anything from my highschool photoshop classes so its a lot of  pushing buttons and trying out things.  I havent decided what I want in my header, hence the plain look at the moment.

Finally one last thing. I dont know what to call myself on the internet. Should I use my real name? Just the first not the last name. My old internet name I dont feel suits me anymore and now I’m left wondering…

What do you think??

Thats all for now I’m off to go outside while its still sunny although its like torture because of my allergies (much more grown up than hayfever).
